Pistyll Cain

A SSSI site of national importance for bryophytes (ferns) and mosses.

From Ferndale follow our track upstream for 500 metres and these falls are on the left.
The water above these falls used to be piped past the falls and used
to generate hydroelctric power for both the nearby Gwynfynydd Gold Mine and 
the nearby village of Ganllwyd.
