On the opposite bank to Ferndale looking upstream
 
 
A mile and a half upstream.
 To get here from Ferndale follow our track upstream for
500 metres past Pistyll Cain falls then another 100 metres upstream past 
Rhaedr Mawddach falls then 200 metres to a new footbridge. Cross the bridge 
and follow the track steeply up for 50 metres turning left at the junction 
with a forest road. Proceed along the forest road keeping the river on 
the left at all times eventually passing through "Rickety Gate" onto a 
bridal path. Eventually you pass through a second gate (keep closed) into 
mixed sloping fields and woodland. Feel free to explore the river bank and 
woodland as you wish.
